Picked up my new D4, fuji white tinted windows xenons and surround camera system, on friday morning. Very pleased with it to say the least - the space inside the handling the noise or lack of when driving (previously had a freelander).
Have spent a couple of hours over the weekend fitting mud guards, cargo/dog barrier, hatch bag and generally making it go up and down because I can and the novelty hasn't worn off yet
The surround camera system is a great help especially where I live, with blind corners and getting through Knebwoth high st !
cant wait to pick up the new caravan in a couple of weeks and enjoy towing a lot more.
Dealer hand over was appalling still haven't quite calmed down yet but the car is great.

You can't leave us like that!! Spill the beans on the dealer, or as usually known on here the stealer.

I never had an issue with the sale dept before i dealt with this particular sales person, the guy i dealt with previously has left, all was fine with regular updates on how the order was going. As the time for collection got nearer it was like groundhog day asking me to pop in to sign some paperwork (the dealership is very near to where i live 3 miles if that) a day later he would call me to ask me to do the same thing again and then the next week and it continued like this up to delivery.
Each thing i signed (carefully checked) was littered with errors and had to be redone several times. When I paid the final balance he used the wrong customers paperwork so I almost paid for someones car, the figures were very similar.
The delivery time was decided on 0830 on the 1st I then got asked if i wanted to pick it up at midnight that morning, I agreed as it fitted in with work etc. about 6pm on the 28th he calls me stating he cant do it and can i come in now and do the handover and come back tomorrow to collect the car and complete finance. I went to the dealers that evening got shown car controls etc paid the cash part of the balance.
Returned the next morning to sign finance - finance guy had been candid with his prior explanation of interest rates telling me that the rate he quoted was for comparison it wasn't it was the flat rate, i did not have time to find alternate finance so signed and next day got a much cheaper loan from the bank and used my right to withdraw from the agreement.
Looked around the car still had polish on it from where they had rushed the valet the sales guy then says will you give me a 9 or a 10 in the satisfaction survey that will arrive soon I asked if they do negative scores to which he laughed I didn't. Picked the keys up and left.
Now I've written it down it doesn't seem as bad as it was in person I will be taking up the poor sales service up with Land Rover and the dealership managing director.
