I've not heard of that, but mine (06MY), started counting down the days from 30 before it's 1st service (1 yr old)ISTR.Must be a variation on that theme I suppose.

Just the number in days to the service time... your miles will go into the negative even though the days still show a positive number.
I think once they both reach zero you will have the Service indicator continuously along with a boing at start up.
Mines at -135 miles and a clock showing 53 plus days (or something)
Actually is this Weds

thanks for that going to book it in as going off soon.
Now that's interesting. What will happen to mine that just had a service because it reached one year old and nowhere near the mileage for the first service.
Will it start boinging and all when the mileage arrives and I will have to take it to the stealer to have it reset?
It's not my fault it is low mileage, the previous owner ended up working abroad so it just never got driven.Life is what you make it.

Mine was serviced in February at 12 months old but with only 10,000 miles done. Not a bong nor service indicator of any kind...Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Dealer should have reset it to a 12 month or 15K mile set point. Else you will be boinging at 15K miles

Mine didn't come at all...
Rang the dealer when reached the 12.000 Km. mark, and he said that the odo advise was not activated for spanish Discos, and that I will have to check when next 12.000 Km. service is due to book an appointment.PG'ed

Done 70k in my 05 SE
Never had any Boings or countdown for servicing.
Maybe it's just my very smooth driving?
Or nothings fitted to my older, lowly SE specced machine??
