Scotland 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3
Ignition position 1

Just noticed that when I turn the ignition key to position 1 I get the P illuminated on the centre console whilst the vehicle is in Park. I have a MY05 TDV6 Auto can somebody confirm if this is correct.

Hi yogi971 - think it was more the fact it lit up when the ignition was in position 1 than anything else Whistle

With Automatics the transmission has to be in park to remove the key. I only noticed that the P next to the selector was illuminated when the key was inserted and turned to position 1. At least I know it is not a fault and typical of LandRover to change things as my Disco 2 is also an auto and the selector positions on the centre console only iluminate at position 2.
