D3 55 reg diesel auto : Slow pull away or turbo lag..?
Evening all,
Just started to notice on pulling out of junctions, foot down to get across a real lag in power, it soon kicks in - the engine is cold especially at the moment, no warning lights have come on and I don't notice any drop in power at any other stage in driving...but something feels odd
Car is getting on a bit but only done 47k miles any ideas would be welcomed
Cheers

It's not a silly question, just a silly answer If you do a search on them on here there is loads of info on what they are and how to fix them
It's worth starting with them as it's such a cheap easy fix you can't go wrong.

Ok done my homework on the forum, still two queries if I get the Egr's sorted, do you get both done at same time..? and is it wise to be running vehicle (only small commutes) whilst this fault is occurring..?
Cheers

Don't blank the EGR's, get rid of them completely. Don't forget to blank the holes off though You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

Can't see the point of removing the EGRs, just blank them like most of us. Otherwise you have connectors and stuff to deal with.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

If one has failed, the chances are the other will not be far behind it. Down to personal preference though.
As said before, you can blank yours off, effectively disabling the system, with no ill effects with a pair of blanking plates from Ebay for £10 or so.My D3 Build Thread

I got mine blanked almost 10k miles ago and not had any issues. Very good idea to prevent any failures in the future for little cost. There's enough other things to go wrong to deal with
