Learnt something new today
After owning the D3 for 4 months I only found out today how to drop the 2nd row seats in my 7 seater, to give a flat loading area 8) .
Up until today I had been thinking that LR had missed a trick by not giving you that facility, should have know better really .
It's amazing what you learn when you read the handbook

NOOOOOOOO ! you dont wanna read the handbook
It takes all the fun out of ownership
I suppose while you were there you found the two studs "male" to accept the loadspace cover when folded flat ?
And also the cut outs at the rear of the loadspace that stores the loadspace cover when the 7 seats are deployed ?

Well that's three things i've "learnt" today now, how to lower the seats and where to stow the loadspace cover. Thanks for that Chalky, and where not to put an apostrophe, thanks to stvmor for that.

Oh do enlighten, not sure I know what you mean here Chalky
As you flatten the seats there are two studs, black plastic type that are exposed in the gap that appears in the loadspace, they face the leading edge of the tops of the rear seat backs.
Look then at your loadspace cover it has two female hooks they latch on to the studs.
Please excuse my pronunciation, grammer, and any other mis use of the English language.
