| My first D4 has been ordered |

I've been wanting a disco for ages. Hunting through autotrader and every other web site on the earth. Mainly looking for a D3, but a wee bit worried about reliability, had a few near misses. So I've jumped head first and put a deposit on a 2009 D4 XS at a LR main dealer. So I've joined the club and am hoping to have many happy driving years in what I recon is the best car on the road.
Any tips on what I should be checking inside and out of the car before I swap money?

Uneven tyre wear
Check the car goes into low range ok. Suspension goes up and down - air suspension compressor isn't on for a long period after raising or when starting the car.
Listen when going over bumps for any clonks or bangs from the suspension or drivetrain on the test drive
Pop her into sport and give her a bit throttle on the motorway on the test drive- look out the rear for excessive smoking black or blue- turbo issues or split intercooler hose.
Check the EPB engages and disengages quietly (not such a problem on D4s but was on D3s)
Most of all though! Enjoy  no doubt you'll have an LR warranty to sort out any issues if they were to arise if buying from a dealer!

Picked it up on Friday after a 3.5hr train journey to the dealers. Very happy so far. Hoping the next 12 months are driving heaven.
