Move from 06 SE to 05 HSE
I'm considering swapping my 2006 (56) SE with 90k miles for a 2005 (55) with 110k. Reasons -
1. Campbelt will need replacing on mine this year the HSE has had it's replaced
2. Cheaper tax
3. Better spec, I want an HSE but in the lower tax bracket
Question I have is about the engine........I know there was a change between the 2006 / 2007 engines and that has an impact on EGR blanking (my 06 is blanked). I've read somewhere that they made the engines somewhere between 2004 and 2006 more euro compliant is this true or was this just the 07 on models.
Basically I don't want the engine to go backwards just because I'm picking an older model.

Thanks Robbie, I love my Disco but I'm just loathed to spend money on upgrades when I know it's not the right one! I've had it for over 2 years now since it only had 43k on the clock. It's been meticulously maintained and that's what kept me from trading it for something with similar mileage and I don't know the history as well.1964 Series IIA SWB Truck Cab - gone

There is always a gamble buying a different car, even a brand new one!
Good luck and remember if you have any set-backs who knows what was just about to happen with the one you have just sold.
