Hi all. I am planning to drive up to Nordkapp (top of Norway) in June with my daughter. Whilst I can follow maps and know basically what route \i am going to take my question is??? Does anyone know of any interesting tracks or routes that take you off the tarmac? Or any 'must see' sights etc...
There are forest road some with tolls on them i am sure the Norway lads

If you drive through Mo I Rana (just on the Arctic Circle), try a visit to the Tourist Office. They use to have grill badges that you got as a "member"of the Arctic Circle Automobile Club. Just a bit of fun.

A few tips:
Visit Geiranger (a nice small "Town" at the end of a spectacular Fjprd)
If you travel west you can go over Aurlandsvangen (probably still snow in june)
Trollstigen - one of the most beatiful roads in the World.

Have a look in here, many have asked the same question before.
Trollstigen has been mentioned, I towed my offroad trailer of 1tonn down it no problems, Geiranger was also mentioned.
The Sognefjellveien mountain pass is also recomened as is the Lærdals tunnel 25km if you like boring tunnels there are 3 stop areas with some fancy lighting.

Norway
I am thinking of going Hirtshals - Larvik on my way North and then back through Finland / Sweden / Denmark on my way back. However I am open to suggestions but that seems to be a reasonable route to get into Norway quickly.Cheers

Check out jotunheiemen area around the town of Lom, the E6 towards Dovre / Dombas should be looked at.
Beitostolen and Valdresfylla maybe the mountain road down by Bygdin towards Lillehammer.

+1 on Glen's post. All that area east and west (e.g. Sjoa/Otta) of the E6 is beautiful country and if you get bored (highly unlikely) head up to Andalsnes - about and hour or so. And I'm only talking about the winter, In summer, it must be stupendous.
