| Windscreen Washers not working? Read this. |

With current freezing weather, there is an issue on earlier vehicles with frozen washers blowing the fuse. This was a common failure last winter. New cars should be OK. Read THIS for more info.
The fuse is an absolute sod to get at, and a good tip is to sellotape or glue a piece of string to the new fuse to aid future removal

Whilst we are on the subject of washer jets....
The cold climate pack includes heated washer jets.
What is it that determines they heat up??? Back in the game!

The manual states on page 111 (2006 version)
'If the ambient temperature falls to a point where icing of the washer jets could occur, power is applied to the heat the jets provided that the starter switch is in position II.'
Presumably this means that if the ice symbol is displayed (5 degrees C and below) then they will be switched on. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

Can't be arsed to get manual from the glove box but I don't recall seeing that in the 17 times that I read it!  Back in the game!
