Czech Republic 2014 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Scotia GreyDiscovery 4
LR Czech Republic

I heard rumours that AMT - the czech importer and monopolist - has existential problems. I have heard that they do not deliver spare parts or new cars anymore to their dealers. my dealer travels to germany for spares and tells new customers that they could order a car but that the chances of delivery are low.
can somebody confirm? or does anybody know more?

Czech Republic

The AMT showrooms near 'Cerny Most ' seem to be closing/closed, the Jaguar part has been emptied; however the LR side still has flags flying and items and staff in the showroom.

2 weeks ago we saw them remove the outside signs from the Jaguar side of the building so something is definitely happening with them, although LR outlet in Brno were try for sales
They were very happy to reply to my emails regarding a test drive; even said they would open on Saturday just for me as they dont work weekends and I cant get down there unless it's Fri-Sun due to work commitments......

It seems final now. The Land-rover international site readresses you to the international site when choosing a local site for the czech rep.

Moreover, in the dealer locator, the czech republic has vanished in the country list...
No importer and no dealers...

Popelka, I hope you did not order and paid an advance....

Trouble is, at least for us, based in Prague, that the nearest dealer is in Liberec or Jihlava. As my next service is approaching very quickly, I am seriously thiking of taking my D3 to a dealer in Germany. At least I will have the opportunity to compare.

The below text is taken from this forum: http://landroverforum.klape.cz/forum/viewt...p;start=60 so no idea how true it is:

So If you have a car within guarantee, you now need to go to Germany, Austria, Poland or elsewhere to have a guarantee problem repaired or to have an authorized service done. Especially since czechs have the bad habit to welcome AND use all (even formal matters) to say that the guarantee is wasted.

Liberec is/was also my dealer, even when I am from Nachod. Vrchlabi nor Prague couldn't offer me a good service. Liberec was the only one that stood up.

But Liberec doen't exist anymore. Dorda movedto ceska lipa, further away from prague and me.

Dobri!
how it is now? I can't believe, it is so rare to have sold a landy.
We have in Poland at this moment a surreal situation, you can't find a disco in a good condition, low mileage... everything sold out!

kind greetings, macgro

den dobre Macgro,

The impoter for the czech republic is now the austrian importer. Spare parts are assured. Maybe they might even expand the czech dealer network.... New cars: don't know.

Macgro, are you a dealer selling LR, a second hand trader or are you searching for a disco privately?
If Poland is sold out on second hand, there are some here, and surely even more in Germany and other western countries where cars are changed as often as shoes...

In a local ad-paper i saw by coincidence a 2008 disco, 79000km advertised at 536000czk +vat.

Otherwise, try www.tipcars.cz I am sure you can handle the czech language.

Deki!
Well just git mine yesterday (and sinked it today). thanks!

I am private so no sales, trade offs or else, just enjoying life. Prices for 2nd hand discos are atrocious here. 15-20% more than in Germany for a good used one but to import it and registering it costs you a fortune in terms of money and time. Especially v8...

Cheers! macgro
