LR Roof Bars + Thule 591 bike carrier

I have a set of standard LR Roof bars (VUB503330) and thinking about getting two bike carriers for the roof (Thule ProRide 591). Thule's info states they come with 20mm T-track bolts for fitting into aero bars. My question is: are these the same size for the LR bars?

I don't have the LR bars with me (still down the yellow box) and can't find out if the T-track under the rubber strip is 20mm like the Thule?

Anyone fitted Thule 591's to the LR bars?

I have a pair of Thule Pro ride 591's and have fitted them to the LR cross bars using the Tee bolts.
Unless they have changes anything? I'll have a look in the garage when I finally go outside today & get back to you!

To be honest, I found the tow bar mount rack much easier to use. You can also still get into car parks with height restrictions at many of the parks etc.

I have two 591's that I use on the original D3 roof bars (black) and these fit perfectly with the T bolts.

The only problem I have is I can only fit one 591 with the roof box on as well - I think with Thule bars that you get more fitting space

Also have Atera Strada for 4 bikes which is excellent D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black
D3 2005 SE Java Black - p/x to D4
D2 2001 GS - p/x to D3
D1 1998 - p/x to D2

Checked the Tee bolts and they are 20mm square headed, My cross bars are original LR part number LCAP500020 bought in 2007 so the number has probably changed although I wouldn't expect the bars to alter much if any.
Happy with mine, the bikes ride stable on the roof - only problem is getting them up there

Could be a bit late but Fordonline were about 1/3 cheaper than most places when I bought mine D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black
D3 2005 SE Java Black - p/x to D4
D2 2001 GS - p/x to D3

591s are cheap on eBay, buy secondhand!!

I would echo sentiments on tow bar rack... Much much easier. Putting bikes on roof is a dodgy affair with scratches from pedals, chain set or mech highly likely.
