Juddering in NSF wheel

Hi all
Just been experiencing over the last few days a pronounced juddering that seems to be coming from the NSF wheel, only really noticeable when cornering slowly and more so when turning left. I have also noticed increased wear on the outside edge of the tyre.
I've checked the bearing for play when holding the wheel top and bottom and there doesn't seem to be any but there does seem a bit of play when holding the wheel horizontally. Would this indicate that the hub/bearing is ok but the track rod ends need replacing?
For your information I've also recently replaced the abs sensor on this wheel and it was/is working fine.
I look forward to any replies and thank you in anticipation.
Rob

Hi everyone
The disco is now in the garage specifically to investigate the problem...Shame as I could have done with it over the last week or so with all the snow about!
They seem to have drawn a blank and have asked Devon 4x4 to have a look at it...consensus is it could be a problem with the transfer box...sounds ominous!!!
They did have a look at the oil on the gearbox and apparently it was low and very fouled...they replaced the oil and still the problem existed....

Has anyone else experienced anything like the above?

Apparently there is a clutch recalibration which can be done with the computer service tools (Faultmate/SDD etc) which has resolved this problem for some without spending $$$$ on new box. I think a search of this forum will turn up a couple of threads along those lines...good luck
