TDV6 Engine parts

I have a 2.7 TDV6 thats dumped its oil so I need a few engine parts such as big end shells, crank, conrod etc I find that Land Rover dont sell these just a new engine!!!
Does anyone know if any of these parts are available anywhere??? Or perhaps a supplier of a short engine??

Thanks Ian

IIRC these parts aren't made so your looking at an exchange unit or a 2nd hand one..

Maybe try GSFcarparts or Citroen/Pug dealers and see what they come up with but I know LR wont sell those bits Sad

Ian - Welcome, bad news.

As has been said no such parts are available from the manufacturer.

Your only choice is a short engine from LR, a reconditioned engine from elsewhere (search the forum & be VERY CAREFUL), or a 2nd hand engine from a breaker.

Why did your engine dump its oil please?

Hi, I have the engine I removed from my Disco last month.
It has a couple of holes in the side of the case!

The plan is to break it for bigger parts such as turbo, alternator etc and probably weigh in the rest for scrap.
If you can make any use of it?

Cheers,

Stuart

Unnecessary quote removed

Thanks its for a friend of mine so i'll ask him, I also see your quite a distance away as I'm in County Duraham!

The engine lost its oil due to a fault with the filter or housing.
