Hello
Will these Headlights fit /work just by pluging into the loom on an 07 XS ?
Work yes, you may need a faultmate tweak to stop a flicker as they come on if you get one, adjust as in with the steering no.
I have adaptive Xenons in my D3 as do others I could name, without the AFS ECU that controls them, they will fine, you can set them up manually for alignment like any other Altox GSM FBH controller thread

I think that Beanie is probably right.
They will plug straight in and work yes.
But there are 3 elements to the "adaptiveness" of the lights, and i dont know which
Ones you need the afs ecu for. I dont know if an xs model has this ecu already even.
If you have the ecu, or even if not, then perhaps the ccf update via a faultmate or similar
Would enable some or all the functions. I really (clearly) am no expert.
- headllight height
- headlight moves left/right to track steering wheel
- side turn lights come on as you slow, indicate & turn
Ironically, my d4 lights in my d3 now only have the last of these 3 functions.
They dont move left right or up down, and have to be set manually.
But the extra helper turn light does work.
If somebody can tell me if i dont need the afs ecu to control the extra turn lights,
Then perhaps that could be for sale too.....does the xs have a loom to support it?
What else would stop working on my car if i removed it?
