whine when changing gear
I have a 2012 8 speed and as it goes to change up i get a low pitched whine form the front middle of the car it disappears on change up and and starts again as you speed up towards the next gear its is also there all the time when the caravan is on and you are going up hill booked in to the dealers for first service shortly any clues as to what to ask them it is getting worse and I am sure it is there in the back ground while travelling normally but wind noise hides it
cheers
Graeme

try to adjust the Torque Converter Clutch, dealer work. mine was doing this at this rpm and adjusting dinamically the TCC quits the nasty whine on acceleration. they tried to do it with the car stopped and it was no ok for mine, after that, they did it on the road and then all ok.

What procedure would they use to adjust the torque convertor ? Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

Is a adjusment made by software, they put the trans ecu in TC learning mode and drive trought the steps the screen says until the ecu says that is all ok.
This adjustment is NOT the gear change auto adaptions reset (the adaptions the tranny makes as you drive every day)
I was thinking that and is not this reset.
