Went out to take my side tubes off this afternoon.
Realised I needed a hex socket so went out and bought one.
Back under the D4 to recommence and then came accross an 'anti tamper' bolt [one on each side].
Back to tool store but they don't have one!!
So this simple job of removing just 6 bolts now needs to be done at my LR dealer!
But question is, when I bought them and had them fitted at same time as new D4, should the dealer not have left me with a fitting/removal tool? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Ron - post up a pic of the head of the bolt, it won't be an LR-only fixing. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Yep, that's what I thought Adrian.
So really, I should demand a replacement,
or at least for them to undo the anti tamper ones FOC. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Martin it's a female hex with a central pin - if that makes sense. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I've got them on my D4 too, just looked and its a Allen key bolt with a central post in the center, so the key will need to be hollow.

Bolt is hex and similar to this
http://www.bcsiteservice.com/product/anti-...ead-bolts/
So the tool would resemble a hollow Allen Key.
But would need to be in socket format because of the pressure needed to release. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Yes, but you'll understand why I can't just pop down to prospeed to have them removed ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Same tool required for bolts on movable crossmember on Expo rack. A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Cliff
But concerned beacuse of all the crud that's been thrown up over the last 20 months that it could prove too difficult a job for a hollowed out tool to handle. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
