These are normally ' ' vans, but by heck it does look good. 8)
I'd even go as for to say it's the nicest van out there.
Just don't tow it with a Transit.
btw, someone on the forum has a new Hobby ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

I think i saw one of those last week.
dont think you would be towing it with one of those cars as in the photo though (ford galaxy is it ?)
unless im mistaken the gross weight is 3300Kg ?? - did I read that correctly Duncan

yes, its shows it on a Galaxy - weight seem confusing, as it say running order weight at 1900kg, then gross weight at 3300Kg.
length might be an issue too at over 9mts - thought limit was 7.9Mts on a non commercal vehicle.
Now - where can I get some spare tarmac from??

I thought width was also an issue on Hobby caravans - it does look rather nice though.
Also there are a lot of caravan sites who will not accept Hobby Caravans. 15 3.0 RRS HSE - Silver
05 2.7TDV6 S AUTO Silver - Retro-fitted Leather.

We had a Hobby for 3 years, great van , good equipment and loads of room and the comfiest bedi've ever slept in, towed it once and easy to do, they've changed the towing rules so a disco or equivolent was ok towing, however we had it on a site in Abersoch and it was sited all season and stored locally so no towing required....
One downside is the build quality is not the best but we had no issues... If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

saw a hobby being towed by a D3 yesterday, with no mirror extension - what a knob - he wouldnt have been able to see anything behind him, and certainly wasnt legal !! Duncan

the rules on width have changed, it use to be over 2.3Mtr wide needed to be on a commercial, but now its 2.5Mtrs. i thought there was still something about lengths though.
I looked at INOS at the caravan show - wasnt impressed at all.
Only brough a new 'van back in Feb, so this isnt an option (well not just yet). Just impressed by the looks, shows what you can do if you want to (listening BAILEY, SWIFT, ECT!!)

Rules state for vehicles towing that are under 3500 kg (cars and vans) the max width for a caravan is 2.55m and the BODY length is 7m,this does not include the A frame. Some of the larger Hobbys and Tabberts (Vivaldi 655/685) exceed the body length but not the width(2.5m) Easy to get caught out and they are hard to insure!

I think it looks great Al Never liked German vans, but I've just changed my mind. The Inos does nothing with the space IMO, I'd also be concerned as people I know who have a MH with pop out extension find that it is very cold in the pop out due to lack of insulation and heating.[/code] DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
