Australia Day Weekend

Hi, is anybody in the Brisbane area planning a day trip during the long weekend? I'm looking for something non-damaging & low range.

Cheers, Steve

Hi Steve.. I'm tied up over the long weekend but like you would be keen to go out somewhere near Brisbane without wrecking the new toy some time in the future.

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Cheers

If you have an auto high range gets you hell of a long way.
In a D3 if you need low range you will get at least scrapes to the underside.
If you join a 4WD club, you will be able to access areas where the public is excluded.
If you are interested try the QLD branch of thw Range Rover Club, most members have Discos.
06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

Appreciate your comments about the Rang Rover Club.. in fact I have a membership application form.

I have had many years experience in 4WDs.. bought my first new Land Rover Series 3 in 1974 when I was 20. Have had several more 4WD vehicles since then.

I guess with this Disco 3 thing being so new, I just want to take it easy until the "newness" wears off.

Like our Z4.. didn't drive it really quick until we had it for a few months.

Cheers

Hi, the RRQ are off in Kennilworth state forest for the weekend, which is further than I wanted to go for a day trip - I think it will be 400KM for me just to get to the forest. Hence my request for anybody on a day trip alternative.

Steve
