..and this is *not* normal
It's Land Rover speak for "open your wallet and replace my EPB module...."

I took in the D3 to dealer today, they said they have adjusted the EPB.
So I hope it;s a lot quieter now
The fault I took it in for (sticky front passengers door lock) they can't replicate (of course)
Phone call:
Them - "You do know that you have to press the unlock button twice sir?"
Me - "Yes, I wouldn't book it in for you to check it out if it was working...."
I suspect it will stop working at an unhelpful time.
As an interesting aside, the courtesy car is a Jaguar XF, I made sure I activated the EPB and had the door open as well as listening with the door shut. All you can hear is a quite whirring, which is what I would expect to hear from the EPB on the D3.
When I collect later I will have a listen and if noisy I'll get them to come and listen and try and explain why
After reading up in the research from AdrianW and his amazing post, I am surprised that this unit is the best they could come up with. What with other technologies around like hydraulics etc. D3 TDV6 XS

Thanks for the sound clips, mine sounds like the RR Sport, seems noisy to me!
Although if that's normal then I'm happy. D3 TDV6 XS

Door lock issue will be a weak latch which requires replacement. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Thanks Martin, is that the same as replacing the whole lock mechanism as I've seen on the forum? Or just a bit of it. D3 TDV6 XS

Well, after taking it in it is a lot lot quieter, can't hear from inside and outside a nice whirring. Now pededstrians don't turn around in horror when I apply it on
So they have adjusted/done something to it, plus the D3 doesn't seem to roll a bit when I applied as much as before.
Hill parking was easier. D3 TDV6 XS
