Site update - new search engine [and mod for search expired]
There is now a new search index powering the site search, relieving load on the main database. The intention is to make search more accurate, and the site more stable - there have been a few search-related database crashes in recent weeks.
Note that with this new search engine, new posts can currently take up to 5 minutes to be entered into the search index. This may be reduced once I know more about what load this process places on the server.
Please let me know feedback regarding the new search - accuracy, speed, stability, etc 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I find appending site:disco3.co.uk to my Google searches works great almost all of the time. I'll give the new search a go and let you know what I think.

Looks like whatever you did worked. I can now submit normal search queries and get back to my results without getting the "page expired" message.

Martin - seems to give all still - I used "alternator" and selected "Thread title only" it seems to show all with alternator in still.
