I dont have a towball, are there any cheap easy solutions to carry a bike instead of throwing it in the back?
Thanks

Does your comes with a hitch receiver, or is that an Australian only standard equipment?
If so, then there are quite a few bike carriers that will fit into the 5cm hitch receiver, such as the Thule Apex I got.

I've a Thule 970. Great bit of kit for the Disco for carrying one bike as it fits in seconds and folds up small and fits in the boot and does not obscure lights and only slightly covers a bit of numberplate. Never had a prob on the road with plod etc. Not quite perfect though. Only really good for one bike on the Disco as the vertical back of car gets in the way for using the inner carrier and you can't open the tailgate with it on.
If you can pick up a removable tow hitch from somewhere, definitely the easiest, smallest solution I found.

That's just what I'm planning, ordered the 970 which is arriving tomorrow. Found a used detachable tow ball, just working out the quickest way to get it delivered as it's too far to collect.
Will be using it for one bike mainly, occasionally a child's bike too.
Thanks
