Any green lane experts here?

Looking at planning a green laning trip in North Yorks, a few were mentioned in LRO recently but as I am browsing Memory Map there seem to be loads of long lanes just north of Pately Bridge. They cross Masham moor but are only marked as ORPA's so I'm not sure of the status and can't see any on-line resource.

Anyone able to help me out?

Refs are from SE11483 75037 to SE19443 75747

I understand the Red Way is now closed but sure the roads across the moors are fit.
Some say he eats creme eggs whole and is waterproof from the neck up. All we know he is called the Funkykipper!

Those lanes are all drivable. Great scenery but not very challenging driving. My avatar photo was taken up there.

Let me know when you are thinking of coming this way happy to guide you round for a day if I am available. Some nice routes nothing too hard core Wink

Some routes may have temp and/or voluntary restrictions over the shooting season also.

I know I'm a new boy, without a real car, but I was just at the area the OP is talking about on holiday a few weeks back. Fantastic place, we were just north of Pately bridge at Bowthwaite next to Gouthwaite reservoir, there was me walking down a cracking inaccessible road/track with my Dobermens, when a Disco 2 came past with a chap taking his kids to school, fantastic!

This is really what whetted my appetite for more, everyone's in a LR up there.

Martin.
