| Help! Complete lack of volume from hi-fi |

Rather annoyingly, the in-car stereo (the standard-fit 6-CD) has decided to produce no volume.
Everything else works - it all lights up, the CDs come in and out OK - apart from the fact that the CDs don't play (i.e. the display shows them paused), but there's no volume.
I'm driving to France tomorrow, so I could do without 12 hours of silence.
Anyone any ideas?

Mine does this about once every 6 weeks.
Just switch it off, lock it, let it go to sleep for a while andhey presto.
Mine always comes back on afterwards.
