My passenger seat occupancy sensor was damaged when I had the seat out, the dealership here in Houston told me they needed to order one from England, two weeks later they told me that this part is no longer available and Land Rover is looking for vendors to have the part made and that no timeline can be given.
I've tried several breaker yards here in the US and even some used parts specialists however it seems no-one has one. Any help in finding one would be greatly appreciated.
It's a 2005 HSE LR3

I think the occupancy classification sensor for the North American market is very different to the simple UK one as it is an integral part of the SRS / airbag system.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Yes, the occupancy sensor is what tells the ECU to turn on the passenger airbag, at least in the US it is.

I understand it uses a silicone bladder and pressure transducer to effectively weigh the passenger. If the passenger is lightweight it disables the passenger airbag and illuminates the deactivation light (which is activated only by key for the rest of the world). There is an additional sensor in the seatbelt anchor that detects the large fixed force of an installed child seat which, in combination with the silicone bladder, also disables the airbag.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
