Traction control kicking in?
Went out today, car was fully loaded with 5 adults and 2 children. On a few right hand bends on country roads traveling at about 60mph the traction control kicked in on 3 occasions. Is this normal? It's recently had lowers wishbones up front and 4 wheel alignment, i'v heard this can cause issues but it drives perfectly straight and doesn't pull to the side at all? Cheers

Most common cause is a slow puncture.

Instead of traction control,I would think self-control might need looked at, doing 60 with 7 people on board on country roads "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Good shout on the tyre pressures, I'll check them in the morning, I do like to progress but I wasn't by any means driving like a loon, only seemed to happen on right handers aswell. Maybe it was just a little too fast for the car and it was doing its job, I'll see how it goes

Not outraged .....It sounds like the car is fine....drives perfectly well,just been aligned etc.....unless the tyres are passed their best,there is a reason DSC is there.......it might be trying to tell the driver the conditions (not speed) are not optimum for cornering the best part of 3 tonnes of fully loaded 4x4 at 60......just saying "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

you obviously didn't go on the Gaydon trip then.........80+ mpg around the test track with 7 adults on board

well there's yer problem....not been done to OEMLR spec....the vehicle thinks yer going off in to a skid so the geometry needs redoing etc....I assume it was not done by LR then

It's a totally valid point, this may have been the case I just didn't expect it, i'v drove over 30 different vehicles in the last 8 years and wouldn't expect it to kick in, that was all

check the tyre pressures first, then if not would be booking it in at LR to have the 4 wheel alignment done and the car set up correctly and yes you should not expect it to do this unless you've not had the alignment done to spec

The wishbones where replaced at a Landrover independent but they sent it somewhere else for the 4 wheel alignment, like I say it drives perfect with no pulling what so ever. I'll post a pic up of the alignment sheet tomorrow and maybe someone can tell if it looks correct? The tyres are all in good condition but I'll definitely check the pressure in the morning

....my first post was poorly worded and probably came across a bit judgmental tbh ..which was not my intention......
I wanted to suggest perhaps the car is fine,and the DSC was doing its job in detecting loss of traction due to the conditions .....although I would agree with the others,worth getting it checked for peace of mind "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Is it Traction Control or DSC cutting in. I had this happen with DSC cutting in, the Steering position sensor was 10 degrees out after wheel alignment. This should always be set as part of 4 wheel alignment. Also later on, Steering angle sensor became detached from steering column peg. This meant it was showing permanent left steering when driving straight ahead. Further left turns at higher speed gave mismatch with yaw rate sensor so invoked DSC.
