Scandinavian:
Dipped beams automatic on off with ignition with lightswitch in "Auto".
Dipped beams can be manually be turned off with lightswitch at day and nighttime.

Canadian:
Dipped beams automatic on off with gearselector and handbrake at daytime with lightswitch in "Auto".
Dipped beams can be manually be turned off with lightswitch at daytime.
Dipped beams are forced turned on at nighttime, and can not be turned off manually with lightswich at nighttime.

I'm confused! Why would you not want dipped beam on at night?

as i said earlier. When starting my car in -20 degree, and it stays there about 15min for heating up, i prefer charging battery for 100watts more than use 100watt to light up my backyard.
canadian DRL setting doesnt allow me to turn them off

In scandinavian setting they can be turned off

i use canadian lights on my d4 ( used them on both my old D3's aswell )

they are so simple its unreal

leave light switch in auto ...thats it Laughing

the lights will come on during the day/night if you are in

D, N , R ...with the handbreak off

With it switched to auto ...when night arrives it just overrides the DRL ...so your lights are on ..simple

then when your in all gears except N the DRL would be on .

You would manually have to switch your lights on at night ( which you would be used to doing anyway ) Thumbs Up
