Does the unlock button over the radio not also do the fuel tank lock? If not I think there is a cable pull release in the right rear side area. Manual would show where.

The key fob only recharges when inserted and left in the ignition switch, hopefully your rechargeable battery is ok!

On the same theme I have 1 good key and 1 that will not work. Autologic says battery in the fob not charging.
Can the fob be opened up to replace the battery, I cannot see how without cutting it up.

Have had the same problem myself this weekend - also a 2005 model.
The key fob seems to have stopped working so have had to open the car manually on the passenger side - alarm went off until the key was put in the ignition. It now seems that you can only lock the car by using the lock button above the radio & then exiting on the passenger side of the car. If you exit from any other door the drivers side remains unlocked....strange!

So we are 2 in brussels with the same thing !
Back with some update !
Got a ussed key on ebay from the UK and went to a land rover dealer to reeprograme it !
They tried to do this 3 times anfter they called me and told me that the reception thing in the car near the interior light or something like that is broken !
Could that be a cauz of this ?!
Really starting to get sick of these electronical problems !

Hi guys look at my other post under ni46. i am now sure that a key from another car cannot be reprogrammed so I am afraid it is scrap. You can break it apart there are some photos somewhere on this forum so perhaps make 1 good key out of the 2 you have.
