Sat nav screen stuck on LR logo and radio wont work |
|
I have a problem (and its only 2 days old!)
The sat nav screen and radio screen stays on for a good few min's after I turn it off and lock it up (not that the drivers door locks very often!) and now when i go to start it the sat nav screen just had the LR logo on it and it wont change, and the radio will not play (or CDs) it says it is but its not making any noise, and yes i have turned the volume up.
Any ideas whats going on? The battery is on its way out (there is a HDC fault when you 1st turn it on in the morning so i guess that meas the battery is dead) and will be ordering a new one soon, is this the one and only problem? am i being stupid or is there a serious issue?
Thanks,
Pete

As Geoff say's - 'ard reset required. Cause is usually a low battery unable to deliver good voltage to the CAN bus whilst cranking the engine. Probably needs a new one

Hi Pete
The radio problem indicates there is a problem with the MOST circuit. The MOST is the fibre optic circuit used for the audio system. Start with the new battery first as the vehicle will turn off non essential systems eg radio if the voltage detected is low. If the screen is still locked up you need to be checking the MOST. You can do this by checking the optic beam at each unit in order ( the unit not emitting the light is normally at fault ) or you can get in scanned and work from the fault codes. The favourite one for faulting is the Bluetooth module.
Good luck
