The sub deals with very low frequency bass ...it's a speaker located in the lower tailgate and pumps out sounds in mono rather than in stereo 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

You should hear it when the output drops below the frequency threshold on any music being played through the system. Some types of music like Drum & Bass will feature such frequencies far more frequently than some other types of music ....if you get my drift 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

If you can't hear anything or indeed feel it as suggested above, check that the rear number plate hasn't been screwed on Only dead fish go with the Flow !

Sub is for sub bass <25Htz.
Normal subs do <50Htz. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

The thing to do is open the tailgate and sit on the left hand side (as you look at it) the sub is located directly under your bottom 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
