Clicking noise from under gearstic when pressing brake pedal

Hello all

Just tonight ours has developed a strange clicking noise. It happens when you press the brake pedal while the car is in Park or Neutral and the noise sounds like its coming from under the console around the gear selector.

Its something electrical because the noise happens when the brake lights are triggered...

A strange one really - does anyone else get this noise or know what it is??!

Ukraine

Lock releasing to let you get out of P but only when your foot is on brake. Mine's clicked from day one.
