BBC1 News - Highways Agency D3 |
|
Looks like the Highways Agency have got at least one D3 for their Traffic Officers - there was a brief piece on the 1 O'Clock news about them, and they were using a white (not silver) D3.
Good for them, glad they've taken on the D3 - it took LR a few years to get the 3rd generation Range Rover ready for the police 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

And they still haven't learnt how to drive them. At the Waterloo Cup this year the local Chief Super turns up in his RR and managed to slide it into a dyke DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Pelyma that does prove a point to me and make me smile. I am always getting ex police officers who want to work for me, especially on the Road Transport Consultancy side. My first question to them is what experience do they have in driving. The reply is nearly always, 'Been on traffic for 25 years and hold a class 1 ticket'.
They think they are the worlds best drivers as a result. When I tell them my consultants ALL hold every licence going for road and speak at least two languages with a degree in law, psychology or both and have driven articulated trucks in many parts of the world, they leave with their tails between their legs. British police have in fact little and limited experience. It doesn't mean they do a bad job of course.

Did not see the news item, but while on my way to work this morning I saw a Highways Agency D3 on the slip road to the M25 at junction 11 Chersey, it was being used to close one of the slip road lanes to protect a broken down car.
