Just got a 61 plate SDV6 on loan bit confused about the box, how do I know if its an eight speed or not ?. In manual the indicator only seems to go up to six ??

Should be, does it have a gear lever or pop up rotary knob. The pop up knob is an 8 speed box, gear lever is a six speed box. Other way to tell if it has flappy padles on back of steering wheel it is an 8 speed box. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

That answers the question, its got a gear lever so must be one of that 6 speeds ?.
