| passenger door locked shut. help? |
|
passenger door locked closed. can anyone shed any light on this one, any help or suggestions would be grateful. cheers chris.

Have you followed the procedure in the handbook:-
Quote:
1. Insert the key fully into the slot under the
cap and turn clockwise to release the
forward edge of the cap.
2. Remove the cap and withdraw the key.
3. Insert the key into the emergency lock, and
turn counterclockwise to unlock.
If the alarm is armed, it will sound when the
door is unlocked. Insert the key in the starter
switch to stop the alarm.

it works , i hhad to do it thursday  -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

I thought this was just the override when the central locking doesnt work, such as when the battery's flat?

Chris - it's the passenger door only - manual page 44.
Nick - yes it's the override. It think that it's a reasonable assumption from the OP that central locking doesn't open the door!

Agreed , that's what I suspected had happened. I thought that Chris was trying to find out why the door had locked shut and how to fix it permanently.

sorry for delay. no not as yet. seems to open manually from inside the cab, but wont open on the fob. all other doors are fine.
