Freelander for sale
For sale, as a cheap Disco 3 may be heading my way, so need to free up funds, just in case
Car was bought as spares or repair. Has had a lot of work carried out by myself to get the car to the condition I want, and everything now works as it should
MOT until 6th Dec 2013. No Tax.
Private plate is apparently worth £600, and is included with the car
It is a 1.8, the head gasket was replaced with the uprated style gasket before I bought the car, and it had also had a new clutch fitted about 10 miles before I bought it.
Has had:
Pair of new track rod ends
Pair of new ARB links
New rear diff seals
New rear diff mount
4x new Hankook A/T tyres
Full service, inc all trans oils
There is a mileage discrepancy though. The car was showing 114k miles when I MOT'd it. It had a diesel speedo fitted, but this has been swapped for the correct petrol speedo, and is currently showing 103k. On the MOT history, it is showing as high as 145k miles...
There was also no history for the car given to me, I imagine, for obvious reasons...
There is a slight judder under very heavy braking, not enough to bother me, but ideally could do with a pair of discs
There are a few dents in the bonnet, and a bit of damage to the drivers door. but all fairly minimal

This can be perfect for my friend but she can't afford the asking price, maybe the differnce when you sell the private plate? This must be the best Freelander 1 out there, let me know if you don't get the asking price A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

Very tempting! Wouldn't mind this for my daily driver but SWMBO is not convinced! Heading down your way in a couple of weeks so may have a look if its not sold before then!Dave Neil

Its not a commercial, it did have alloys when I bought it, but the tyres were the wrong size, and 2 tyres were . I had a set of steels with 4x new A/T tyres, so they were fitted
Got someone coming on Tuesday to have a look, will let you know how it goes My D3 Build Thread
