For Sale - my set of 4 x Disco 3 HSE 19" alloys and tyres (proper Discovery weight rated not the lighter RRS wheels)- due to my new insurers not wanting non standard wheels on my D4 .
I have not off-roaded on these, which have been used as a spare winter set from Nov-March each year, and they are in good condition for used alloys ie no dents/buckling but there is corrosion to the alloy finish & the balance weights are clipped on the rims rather than being neatly affixed inside the wheels.
Currently fitted with Vredstein Wintrac 4 Xtreme tyres (255/55 19 R111) which have proved to be highly effective winter tyres - they have 4-5mm tread & no cuts etc so are useable - I am not a tyre expert but in my view this tread depth is not ideal for winter use but the tyres might give someone an idea as to noise/handling etc of these tyres and their grip on non-snow covered roads at lower temperatures before buying a new set (new tyres have 9mm & a forum sponsur will confirm costs but probably £150-200 each?).
Price £80 each + carriage (but the forum delivery service may assist) and I would prefer to sell the set as one, but will separate if there are sufficient takers for individual wheels.
