turbo hose

Hi all I was just checking the condition of my turbo hose today and found oil in the bottom end about a teaspoon or so is this normal or should I be concerned, I would have thought it should be dry as it only carry air to the engine. Thanks, and great to be part of this forum its been most helpful

Best to mop it up though, 'cos if you drive over something very uneven (e.g. in my case, the metal bumps on the exit from a ferry), the vibration can shake the oil around and you can end up cruising to a halt at the side of the road due to a clogged up sensor!

I noticed a drop of oil when I was parked up and found that the hose was a bit loose, as far as oil being about the hose pretty normal it seems.

If it looks like a lot of oil try tighten the clip holding it to the intercooler.

Top tip when changing to silicone or checking for oil in the pipe.........

Don't place your head directly underneath the pipe when you pull it off, as the oil goes straight in your eyeb Big Cry
