When they break down they do it in style!!
Second time this has happened to me now.. The story so far. Started with the battery light appearing for 2 or 3 days then went out. Car was driving fine in that time and no problems starting albeit noticed it a little sluggish turning over - out of the blue one day I was out and a bout with my baby daughter on board, parked up and went for a walk about with her, got back to the vehicle and bang... Starter clicking like mad and every conceivable fault appears on the dash, stuck at access height and unable to raise.. Not even enough power to illuminate the sat nav screen, that just kept flashing on and off? I had to call my farther who appeared with a power pack which allowed me to jump start the car and limp home. Next day I left for work overseas for a few weeks, while away ordered a new heavy duty battery. Got back last Wednesday and fitted it straight away... Problem solved! Then out of nowhere today.. Exactly the same again, every conceivable fault appear again this time has a large F up on the display and jammed in park unable to move.. Luckily it happened in the drive and not out somewhere with the kids in the back?
As I said when it goes t*ts up it does it in style - I have no idea where to start with this now... A brand new £200 battery later and it's still the same?? To say I'm livid is an understatement!!
Any advice on what to do or try to resolve this would be greatly appreciated... Oh by the way it's a 2005 TDV6 HSE with 63,000 on the clock
Thanks in advance guys...
