The Master of Suave !
Stay away from anything Paddy Hopkirk!
Absolute !
Made of monkey metal (engineer-speak for low quality white metal)
I had some bars for my accord coz I refused to buy a full thule kit for it when I already had several sets of thule bars.
No matter how much I tightened them you could still move the bars on the roof.
Spoiled my drive down to cornwall coz I knew there was a piece of tin holding my roof box to the car!
Threw them away when I got home!Back in the game!

What I suspected, was not he a rally driver?
So the Thule with the lights and electrics, do I have to get the D3 electric kit? and where do you get plates made these days and can it all be done by next weekend. Detachable tow bar already on its way.
I must say I could almost hear your voices when I was reading it and I've never met you!
Sideshow did mention mud-wrestling though didn't she?Back in the game!

Do the Thule rigs fold up?
Cheers
Hi croyde, don't know about thule thingy, but definately get the LR electrics kit, (got mine from Nick at Yeovil LR, 20% off plus a bit for postage, very quick and efficient), took a couple of hrs to fit (plodding). got a plate from Halfrauds, not the best quality wise but will do, oh and you have to show reg document these days plus some other identification ISTR. Halfrauds also do lighting (trailer or cycle rack) boards, LR one is twice as much and not good value IMHO.

Paddy Hopkirk... Who was he? WHO WAS HE?!!!
Only one of the best Rally Drivers of his time, surely any Mini Fan will know when he won the world Rally championship, only to be disqualified for having the extra third driving light.....
Just because the big names couldn't stand the heat of being beaten by a 'little car'....Bodsys Brake Bible
