Andy, it's in the Oct. edition of Leisure Wheels. But you'll need the Zinio app.

The test was rather sand biased (fair enough in SA) here's the results:

1. General Grabber AT 96.95%
2. Conti CrossContact AT 95.64%
3. Apollo AT 94.49%
4. Goodyear ATSA 93.27%
5. Bridgestone Dueler 92.76%
6. Hancook Dynapro AT 92.70%
7. Pirelli Scorpion ATR 91.66%
8. Khumo Road Venture AT 91.46%
9. Yokohama Geolander AT 91.41%
10. Cooper Discoverer AT3 90.57%
11. Maxxis 700 Bravo AT 90.47%
12. Dunlop Grandtrek AT3 90.33%
13. Velocity Raptor 88.21%
14. BFG AT 87.14%
15. Mickey Thompson Baja STZ 85.59%

Some disgruntled BFG users are asking if the test was sponsored by Continental (owners of General Tires). Laughing

Interesting to compare the data with the recent Australian test, where the Pirelli ATR took top place.

In the USA the Pirelli ATR has recently lost it's crown to the Cooper AT3, which scores less in this test.

Regardless, it's a good result for Continental. I can certainly vouch for the Cross Contact AT in the mud, but it does have a more open tread pattern than most of it's competitors.

Thumbs Up

Thanks very much LT. Thumbs Up

What a great result for General/Continental tyres, as I have said in the past it does rather depend on "who" is testing.

It does seem a tad strange that BFG is so far down the list.

General AT is a great tyre and all the positive feedback from all my customers and many others can't be wrong. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Bow down Bow down

I am off testing something new from General at the end of the month in Spain, now could it be a MT. Question not that I think an MT tyre is needed, very small market in the U.K.
