is it possable that when an original posters , post is moved to another section , that a notification could be sent to them ?
spent ages looking for my moved post

At the bottom of the home page click the tab where it says my posts

Its not always possible to notify of every change we have to make, sometimes its done on a smart phone during 'real' work, and we simply do not have the time to do it.
Generally if we move a topic because its in the wrong section, we would not notify. On the other hand, if we have to moderate the content of a post, we would where possible either put a note on the thread, or pm the originator.
Like Geoff says, you can find 'your posts' using the link at the bottom of the home page.
