Locking/Opening Problem (Intermittent)

Lately my Disco has developed am intermittent fault with the central locking system. The problem is sometimes wheather permitted, rain for a few days and nothing will work, dries up for a few days and works again as normal..

Thinking a problem with either the central locking transmitter or a wiring problem, can anyone offer any advice to go about fixing this problem.

I'm using the passenger door key slot at the minute and locking using the dash button and getting out the passenger side Neutral

The wiring to the receiver runs along the drivers side sill, underneath all the plastics. Quite common to see wiring issues in there Thumbs Up

Passenger side, middle of the front door under the sill cover and plastic trim. There is a splice for the green and White wire, you may find the splice corroded. Replace splice and operation should be ok.

Few weeks later and I'm still no further forward, tried checking the wiring for a splice but had to end my search early as it was getting dark Rolling Eyes

Cleaned out the sunroof drain tubes and still have water leaking into the passanger footwell, after some searching on the forum it seems to mention a leak soming from the pollen filter housing, I have checked this and it does seem that the filter is damp but no obvious signs of a leak Neutral

Can anyone offer any advice as to where this water may be entering the car from?
