Disabling The D3

Any smart and simple ideas to disable the D3.

When I go on holiday, sans car unfortunately, I will be leaving her on the driveway and want to make it as unstealable as possible.

I don't want to leave her on blocks (I don't live in or near Liverpool).

I could leave the tank empty of diesel, but that takes some prep.

In the old days you'd just whip out the rotor, but I think we've progressed since then.

leave it in low ratio and take out the EPB fuse.
TBH the D3 security system does a good job of immobilising the vehicle, just make sure you hide the keys well Wink

also Grass Gravel Snow... the revs are sooo retarded (like the thieves) that they will think its a lemon and not take it Wink

You hear of vehicles being taken to order and by low loaders with a lift (like the tow away jobs councils use). They can reach over and just lift her up, disabled or not.

You could chain the chassis to the house of course.

there's no way of starting a D3 without a correctly coded key, which are vehicle specific. without it the CJB and many other systems refuse to do anything so forget about anyone driving it away...
the purpose of leaving it in low range and EPB disabled is to increase the drag if they try & tow it off your driveway Wink
