EGR Blanking
So honestly how easy is it to fit the egr blanking kit, and does it bring any potential problems not having the egr?

Honestly, removing the EGRs isn't all that complicated. It took me just over an hour to do following Disco Mikey's guide. Access to the right hand side (when looking at the engine) is tighter than the left.
For me there are no pitfalls only plusses. With them removed you're not recirculating dirty exhaust gasses that can lead to turbo issues. I gave my MAP sensor a clean when I removed mine and it's still as clean 12 months on.
The D3 has been for an MOT with no mention of the EGR's being removed and there was no adverse effect on emissions.Still in between Discos
As Disco_Mikey says not on your year of car but does on later 2007 and on.. but you are ok and your car would benefit from being blanked before any egr's failed. as you don't get any eml light on the dash and the car would not go in to limp home mode..
