G4 over a HSE

Hi all,

I am just wondering of the extra kit a G4 has over the HSE. Are they worth the price increase? Or can you buy a HSE and spec it to G4 for less money?

We are having major probs with our dealer and the car is on the verge of going back so we are shopping for another HSE or G4.

Thanks
 Ian

G4 will have a locking rear diff, most HSE's won't.

Other than that it's all cosmetic (rack etc) which can be sourced elsewhere. Oh, and the orangey bits.....

A G4 is the same spec as an HSE apart from all the off road kit and the Tangiers Orange colour.
If you don't need or want the kit or don't like the colour, then go for an HSE.
If you do like it, then go for the G4.

Thumbs Up

I read somewhere that the G4 had a spade underbody protection and a whole load of stuff extra.

I know all the extra stuff is for off roading but does anyone have a list or can confirm the full extras?

Fair bit of extra gear.

Looks like it could be worth the extra money.

I wonder how much of the gear is still with the car.

More toys on a G4

Over the two I would go for the G4 as I've had a G4 in the past, There is a sump guard underneath the front, locking rear diff as well. And the main thing is you will stand out of the crowd in it.

I would go for the G4 if I could afford one, just love the orange colour.

SDV6 Auto obviously, Loire blue/Ebony, ugly kid glass, RLD wheel protector, private plate and maybe side steps.

We managed to find one but it is missing some of the little bits of kit. Pretty well priced. Given the mileage and age a HSE is the same price.
SWMBO hates the colour, the winch, the RAI and the roof rack with lights.
I keep telling her she wont see it inside the car whilst driving. I keep telling her if we still had our D3 HSE it would be getting a RAI and winch etc. Whistle

Any wives out there driving a G4 who can convince my Mrs they are good??????
