Compressor light

On my D2 I and several others ran an LED warning light that indicated when the compressor was running to charge the rear air bags.

Has anybody done this on the D3 and is there a write up of where to make the connections etc?

Cheers

Andy

You could probably just run a wire from the cjb in the engine compartment from the switched live side of the relay.
Although I'm not sure why you'd want this...? It runs on and off throughout the day so would just be annoying wouldn't it...?

Its only as an early indicator of compressor failure. On the D2 there were several cases of the compressor staying and over inflating the rear shocks which resulted in a big bang and it back end dropping to the bump stops!

You would know if the D3 fails as the dash lights up with bongs...

Just change the £5 relay once a year as it is likely the relay that sticks and causes overheating (unless there is a leak in the air somewhere)
