| Restricted Eng Perf - Intercooler pipes |

Hi,
For the third time in a year had the restricted engine performance warning come up and as my warranty is due to expire in 3 months or so, I thought that I'd kick up a stink, and, fingers crossed, think its finally sorted. Having been told that there's nothing wrong and it was a glitch the Dealer finally replaced the intercooler pipe - £1900 invoice done for free on warranty.

£1900 for an intercooler pipe - they must have done a bit more that that !! Duncan

Was a main Stealer! I know the IC pipe's about £150 - so the rest must be labour?!?! - I just looked at the bottom of the invoice they gave me! Just thought the IC pip 'fix' might be of interest as I had heard everything from'glitch' to 'turbo valve'.

I wonder if it was a body off job to get to the pipe? Taking the peewee otherwise. Good job it wasn't done in a few months, that would smart just out of warranty.

With about 15000km on the dial, first journey with a caravan and pulling the 2.5 tonne caravan out of a very steep valley I experienced the bongs and yellow triangle and loss of power. On opening the bonnet I noticed, by luck that the intercooler outlet pipe had slipped off the intercooler spout, suggesting the clamp had not been done up at the factory. Re-clamped and on our way.
