2 Stroke Oil
I know there has been a ot of discussion on the different types of 2 stroke oil but just recently bought 1 litre of 2 stroke oil from asda at the cost of £5.25 and has the specification of API TC, JASO-FB on the lable.
Clear plastic bottle with red 2 stroke oil in it. Other info include " Specially developed with low ash additives".
Is this ok for my disco 3 05 reg egr blanked?
Cheers Don't be blinkered vision, see the world in colour.

Yes as long as its mineral or semi-synthetic, but personally I use Castrol Actevo JASO-FC

Thats the very stuff I run in mine, seems to work fine! Always curious though if my tank gets dipped they may think I am running cherry red!

Considering where you stay and what you do for a living, they may have a point

Very true!
Although its up to them to prove its not on cherry, and I would take great delight when they find out it isn't

I'm using the same stuff too and also wondered the same about the tank dipping, I doubt it would show up though considering the dilution rate.Clive

2 Stroke Oil
I emptied 500 mil of the stuff in the tank a couple of days ago and filled the tank up to the brim. So far so good touch wood and no problems, i.e. blue smoke red smoke or anything else and if it helps protect the engine then why the hell not.
P.S.
Woody i didn't think Farnborough was that bad with the air show and all that. I thought Surry was one of the posh places in the UK.

My car was definitely quieter and smoother with the 2 stroke in, I normally put in about 300ml to a tank full of diesel, can't really say I've noticed any difference to the MPG though, I've seen more of a difference since adding TSL to the engine oil
Slightly OT - but -
Farnborough is not too bad really compared to some places I've been to, the air show is good but it's only once every two years, so not really worth re-locating for Clive
