Rear Shock Absorber Boots

Hi All, I stripped and cleaned all the brake pads today. At the rear of the car, however, I noticed that the shock absorber rubber boots have small tears on both sides. Has anyone ever changed these? If so what sort of job is it?
Thanks!

I have the same problem. One of mine has come off completely. They are just dust covers, and I don't know why the car needs them at the back when it doesn't at the front Confused I did price up a new kit with The Large One , including the metal band and tool, and they are not that cheap. I tried to secure mine with big zip tie, but it soon came off.

Yes I noticed that the fronts didnt have them. I was wondering if that was normal or if the fronts had come off completely. Anyway, Thanks for the info. I think I will leave it and see how they go.
