2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Adriatic BlueDiscovery 3
trans oils

has anyone found any transfer box oil thats suitable other than main dealer

and what are folks using for manual box

just had clutch done and when i picked it up mechanic told me that he checked levels and t/box down slightly and oil quite dark but he doesnt have any in stock or he would have changed it but its about due a change any how so he said if i get some and bob on with it will put it on ramp and change it for me

he so far has not found a source of t/box oil other than main dealer

any pointers greatly recived oil mans web site does not list any trans oils for disco 3

called oil man today for some advise and have ordered
Fuchs Titan Race SYN 5 75W-90 for the transfer box
he said because the specs for the special transfer case oil are not published he cannot guarantee that this will be the correct oil but said that it more than likely exeedes what is required it has the correct adatives in for limited slip diffs so should do no harm there

for the manual box i ordered
Fuchs TITAN SINTOFLUID SAE 75W-80 synthetic manual transmission fluid
i belive quite a few others on here have already used this without any issue

so when it gets here a change will be done and i will let you know of any difference in noise or fuel consumption
i will also let you all know if my transfer box blows up Club original turbo
