Could be as I did have the electrics on for 3 hours whilst doing the rear brakes.
Looks like I'm off to Halfords to buy a charger then!
Thanks

If its really flat you will need to leave on charge preferably a few hrs at least better overnight..

Have you tried a jump start from another running vehicle, using a GOOD set of jump leads ?

I often find that when a battery is totally, totally flat it will not jump start anyway. Get the battery on charge for a bit.
Or, get it connected and ready for a jump start, then leave the two batteries connected together for a short while before attempting to jump it 2014 D4 XS

Thanks for all the comments and I guess when that any people tell you it's a flat battery they can't all be wrong!
Sure enough, got the battery on charge for a day and it hen started first time!
Think the battery I was trying to jump from was just not strong enough!
Think I'll turn the stereo off next time I work for a few hours!!!

Unless you get the real heavy duty jump start battery your average battery pack's are not big enough to jump start a D3, If you plan on maintaining your car then it might be wise to invest in a decent charger like the Ctek range.
